"Das Boots" is the 5th episode of the third season of The Suite Life on Deck.
Story[]
Zack accidentally gets himself, London, Woody, and Maya stuck inside London's shoe submarine with only thirty minutes of air left. This is the first time that Maya admits she has feelings for Zack. Meanwhile, Marcus is helping prepare Cody for a chess match with a Russian named Mischa that they thought was a boy but turns out to be a girl and causes trouble for Cody to concentrate. Also, Mr. Moseby and Miss Tutweiller commentate on the match. Finally, Zack, London, Woody, and Maya find batteries to power the radio. They contact Cody who is in the middle of his chess match. Cody goes to help his brother, leaving Marcus to play the chess match. Cody tells everyone to get rid of any unnecessary weight, so they dump all of the shoes out of the submarine. They rise to the surface and are saved. One shoe ends up hitting Sasha, moving a piece and leaving her king wide open. Marcus wins the match and is crowned International Junior Chess Champion, since he is the one who accidentally moved that piece, not Cody. Zack asks Maya on a date since Maya "likes him" but Maya says that it was just the lack of air talking.
Quotes[]
- Zack: (holding a pair of shoes) You know Maya, these would go great with your legs.
- Maya: I don't think that's the kind of thing you say to someone who's just your friend.
- Zack: Sure it is. Hey Woody, these would go great with your legs.
- Woody: Thanks Zack! It's about time someone noticed these stems.
- Mischa: (flips through book) You were born in Seattle in 1993, you're allergic to many, many, many things. Oh, and you didn't give up your blankie until you were 12!
- Cody: Ha! Wrong! That was just a ploy so my mom from taking me to the counsellor. I secretly keep it until I was 15.
- Woody: You gave him the day off.
- London: I did? That's so unlike me. (hits head) Stupid nice London!
- Zack: (talking about a radio) No, no, no, no. It means we can contact the ship and get help.
- Maya: It doesn't work.
- Woody: Yeah, never does Steve but mom still loves him.
- London: Wait, it says something here but whoever wrote it is a worse speller than I am.
- Maya: You can't read it because whoever wrote it was Russian.
- London: I don't care how fast they were writing, it makes no sense!
- Cody: Okay, okay, Zack, search for something marked Surface Control.
- Zack: It's all in Russian.
- Cody: (moves chess piece) Check.
- Zack: (annoyed) I did check. It's in Russian.
