Lance Fishman is the lifeguard at the Tipton. He is obsessed with anything to do with water and wants to be a merman when he grows up. His obsession with water has led him into some trouble when it comes to relationships, however. He is very hunky and attractive to several girls. In the episode Hotel Hangout, he asks Maddie out, however she finds him annoying as every date she goes on with him ends up in conversing only about water. Maddie makes London teach her how to be mean and bargains to help tutor London in return. Finally, Maddie tells Lance that his obsession with water is annoying and that she cannot be with him because of it. They then break up. He previously dated London for several episodes, but they both dump each other in the episode The Arwin That Came to Dinner. Lance dumped London first for Wanda (Samantha Droke) who has more things in common than London and Lance do. Eventually London breaks-up with Lance and so does Wanda.
Story[]
He is first seen in the episode "Hotel Hangout", where he asks Maddie Fitzpatrick out on a date. They eventually break up, and become just friends.

His short brown hair is normally curly, and he is usually seen in Tipton employee clothing.
Personality[]
He is shown to be a bit of an airhead, similar to London. He is extremely obsessed with water and anything to do with it, as mentioned by Maddie in the first episode and seen on several occasions throughout the series.
Relationships[]
- Maddie Fitzpatrick: He asks Maddie out in the first episode, "Hotel Hangout". She breaks up with him, though it was mutual (as they both thought they were talking too much about water).
- London Tipton: In the third season of the series, in the episode Sink or Swim, London had a crush with him immediately, later, they kiss, and start to date. In Who's the Boss?, London was ashamed of Lance, as he did not know how to behave in high society. But later, they accepted each other the way they are. Despite this, they broke up in The Arwin That Came to Dinner, because Lance felt that they didn't have much in common, and he liked another girl.
