"Free Tippy" is the 5th episode of the second season of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.
Story[]
- This is ripped directly from Wikipedia; please rewrite.
Zack and Cody try to save the Tipton's carriage horse (Tippy) from being sold to a mean lumberjack when the horse carriage driver Henry gets retired. London borrows Maddie's late great grandma's broach, but when she accidentally loses it, Maddie makes her feel bad. Mr. Moseby arranges a banquet with Mrs. Delecourt. The boys sneak Tippy into the hotel and have him stay with Arwin, but then Tippy escapes so the boys look all around the hotel. London tells Carey that the broach is in the trash but she's not looking there. But Carey tells her that a good friend would help look for it. So Arwin and London look for it in the dumpster and run into a homeless guy. At the end, Mrs. Delecourt convinces Mr. Tipton not to retire Henry, and the homeless man comes to the hotel with Maddie's broach.
Quotes[]
- Cody: Thanks for the ride, Henry.
- Henry: It's Tippy you should thank. He does all the hard work.
- Cody: Here's your tip, Tippy. Don't spend it all in one place.
- Zack: So you guys have been working together for a long time, huh?
- Henry: Yep. too bad we won't be working together much longer.
- Cody: Why not?
- Henry: Well, I'm turning 65 tomorrow. Mr. Moseby says that means it's time for me to retire.
- Zack: So? You don't have to do everything Mr. Moseby says. We like to think of his rules more as...suggestions.
- Henry: Well, that's one suggestion I think I'm going to have to take. I love my job, but Moseby's already sold Tippy. Breaks my heart.
- Carey: If I give you guys pets, will you stop bugging me?
- Twins: Yes.
- Carey: Pet rocks. Don't overfeed them.
- Cody: I'm going to name mine Tim.
- Moseby: Well, a heart association ball should be at the Tipton because we have a...big heart.
- Cody: (running up to the desk) How could you be so heartless?!?
- London: (about Maddie's late great-grandmother's broach) Don't freak out but I might have accidentally misplaced it.
- Maddie: (panicked) Misplaced it?
- London: See? That's freaking out.
- Maddie: That belonged to my dead great-great grandmother.
- London: Then she'll never know.
- Mrs Delecourt: Um, why does this carrot cake have a big chunk of cake missing?
- Zack: I'm sorry. We were hungry. After all we're (pulls a face)...street kids.
- Cody: Street kids who never used how to use forks and knives. (grabs a chunk of cake with his hand) See? Oh, I forgot my manners. (shoves cake into Mrs Delecourt's face) Want some?
- Mrs Delecourt: No thank you. Poor little dears. (to Moseby) Make sure they're not here during my event.
- Moseby: (sees Zack eating flowers) What are you doing?
- Zack: (spits) Roughage. Helps the cake go down.
- Moseby: I am terribly sorry Mrs Delecourt. Please. Now let me show you to the ballroom...(to Zack) unless you've eaten that too.
- Zack: No, we're full.
Trivia[]
- The title of this episode, "Free Tippy", is an allusion to the 1993 film Free Willy.
- The working title for this episode was "Hide the Horse".
- Moseby saying that 65 is the standard retirement age for Tipton employees could be a reference to how older Disney channel shows usually ended at 65 episodes. Since then, many shows have broke that episode number, Suite life included.
Goofs[]
- When Zack and Cody hugged their mom at the end, they first hug her on the waist, then there is a quick shot of Maddie, and then it goes to another clip with Zack and Cody already hugging their mom on her neck.
- Towards the end of the episode, when everyone is talking about Tippy and Henry, we can see that Arwin is no longer carrying all the metal he brought from the dumpster with his metal detector, which he was just carrying a few seconds ago.
