"Going for the Gold" is the 16th episode of the second season of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. With the Hotel Engineers' Games coming up, Arwin is determined to beat Irv Wheldon for the golden plunger, but finds out that Irv is cheating. Meanwhile, London opens a fashion store and hires Maddie to do her business functions.
Story[]
Arwin enters the competition for Hotel Engineers so he could win the "Golden Plunger" and a kiss from "The Plunger Girl" (Carey) and beat Irv Wheldon. Zack and Cody find out that Irv was cheating when they found Irv put diagrams on the toilet paper, they try to convince Mr. Moseby but Irv flush the toilet paper. Irv cheats in the final round too but Arwin won.

- Maddie: Can't we talk about it?

- Cody: So is Arwin still in the lead?
- Zack: No. He beat Irv at changing the lightbulb, flew by him while fixing the vacuum system but Arwin hit a snag at the clogged sink.
- Cody: What happened?
- Zack: It was another of Irv's dirty tricks. Arwin's plunger "broke", and he had to suck out the clog with his mouth.
- Cody: Okay, if Arwin wins that kiss from mom, don't tell her that.

- London often gives up on things after her father buys things to do with that activity.
- This episode marks the first appearance of London's Mirror. It is able to talk, but it does not speak in this episode.
- Irv Wheldon is actually first mentioned back in "Election" where Arwin is upset that he made the cover of the Hotel Engineer Quarterly magazine.
Goofs[]
- Mr Moseby mentions that London wanted to be an ice skater so her father brought her Iceland, but that is a green country, but Greenland is an ice country.
