Hotel Hangout is the first episode of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and the second in been producted. The episode starts when two twins enter in the Tipton Hotel, Zack & Cody, who lives in the Tipton because their mother is a singer in the Hotel, they will be in their first day of Middle School, and they do two new friends, but when they told to one of them, Drew, it will be a party in the Hotel, they come popular and lose their new friends. Meanwhile, the Tipton's manager, Mr. Moseby see the Tipton heirness, London Tipton, is with low grades in Maths, so when he see the candy-girl, Maddie, has good skills with the Maths, he hires her to help London.

Episode

The episode starts with Zack (Zachary) and Cody Martin entering the hotel with their mother, Carey Martin. The twins ask Carey if she can take them to the nearby playgorund. Carey tells them that she needs to rehearse for her next show. Carey thens asks the twins to invite some friends to the suite. The twins tell Carey that they wish they had friends, but since they are new then no one wants to be their friend. Carey then comes to their side. She kisses and incourages them by telling them that they will eventually make new friends. After that, Zack accidently pushes a table over with a vase on it. The valuable-looking vase falls and luckily Esteban (a new bell boy) catches it. Mr. Moseby, the hotel manager then praises Esteban for catching the vase. Esteban thanks him and tries to impress Mr. Moseby by flipping in the air and once again catching. The theme song and theme scene then begins. Then beginning the episode.

The episode now officialy begins. Mr. Moseby then walks over to the hotel's candy counter. He then tells London that he'd like to speak with her. London then tells Mr. Moseby that she can't talk because she's going to a premiere. Moseby tells her that she is not allowed because of her grades. Her father had sent Mosey a fax saying that London is to cease all social activities until her grades improve. London gets angered and disturbed. Meanwhile, Maddie is helping out a costumer and hands out her exact change without looking at the cash register. Moseby is impressed and then looks at a book that Maddie read and is even more impressed.

Moseby then tells London that Maddie can tutor her. Maddie, then tells Moseby that "there is not enough money in the world for that." However, Moseby then tells her that he will tripple her salary if she tutors London. Maddie then agrees to tutor London.

Zack and Cody then meanwhile are at their new school. Suddenly, a group of "popular" known as "The Drew Crew" walk pass the twins. Zack tries to blend in and act "cool" with Drew (the leader of the group). Drew replies back calling them "clones". Zack gets excited that Drew talked to him and Cody see's Zack's stupidity. Max and Tapeeworm then tell the twins that the Drew Crew will never accept them into the group. The two kids then properly introduce themselves. The kids then joke around. Zack and Cody then invite Max and Tapeworm to their suite at the hotel. After school, Max and Tapeworm go to the twins' suite. When entered, Carey is hillariously practicing some "hip moves" for her show. Max then notices a large sterio in the livingroom. She turns it on and starts dancing. Carey, Zack, and Tapeworm are impressed by Max's dancing. Carey then asks Max to teach her how to perform the some dance moves. Max then dances a complicated move and Carey asks to be taught "a part a mother can do". Max then agrees.

Meanwhile in London's suite, Maddie asks London how her research on Italy is going. London, however is shopping online for dresses instead of researching Italy. After a couple of seconds, Maddie tells London that she has to leave to meet "him". London asks Maddie about "him". Maddie tells her that he is a lifeguard who buys peppermint gum at the candy counter before his shift everyday. London then asks Maddie if he has asked her on a date yet. Maddie says no. After they talk a little more, London tries to give Maddie advise on the lifeguard. She tells her not to show up. Then "he" is chewing gum, he will think of where Maddie is and why she didn't show up. Maddie then takes London's advise.

Back at school, the twins are walking at the court with Max and Tapeworm when the Drew Crew walks by. Drew then asks then if they really live at the Tipton Hotel. Drew then tells them that he will come and hang out at the hotel with them. Drew then walks away with the twins and "his crew", leaving Max and Tapeworm sad and behind.

At the Tipton, Lance (the lifeguard) asks Maddie why and where was she at the previous day. Maddie remembers London's advise. After talking, Lance asks Maddie out on a date. Maddie agrees and gets excited. Lance then walks away. Suddenly London walks pass Maddie and Maddie tells her that her advise worked. London then takes Maddie to shop at a boutique.

At that moment, the twins and the Drew Crew storm the hotel and devour a long table of food. Drew announces to everyone that the food is free. Moseby tells Drew that it is free for thr guest who spend $2,000 everyday. An unknown then asks Moseby is he has any humus. Tapeworm then arrives and is sad to see that all of the finger-sandwhiches have been eaten. The children then storm the pool. Drew then gets a massage and the children all are given ice cream. Max and Tapeworm then show up and are sad to see that there is no more ice cream. They then try to enter the pool but the crew has already sat down and do not want to make room. Tapeworm then complains and says "First the finger sandwhiches, then the ice cream, and now this!". Cody then tells Tapeworm and Max that there is always more ice cream at the back counter of the pool. As they go get some ice cream, Drew tells the crew to ditch the two kids. Zack agrees and then Cody says that he'll stay back and tell them where everyone went. Zack then tells the crew to go ahead and explains to Cody that its just some fun. Cody however knows that it is wrong, however he goes with Zack.

Later on, Carey asks the twins if all the kids in the lobby are their friends. The twins say yes. However, Carey tells them to fix the problem and make some kids leave. Drew then calls over another large group of kids over the food table. The twins then make all of the kids go to the game room.

Repetition

In Mr. Tipton Comes to Visit, the scene when Cody and Zack was talking about who of them will be told Drew he has to leave the Hotel (with all his mates); also, when Esteban was in the stairs.

Goofs

London says that she got a C+ on a test, but on London's exam paper it says she got a D+.
