"Mother of the Groom" is the 14th episode of the second season of The Suite Life on Deck. Esteban, from the Boston Tipton, comes on board to get married. While the boys hold a bachelor party for Esteban, London and Bailey help Esteban's mother try to find something she enjoys besides taking care of him, so he can marry without his mother's guilt.
Story
Esteban, the former bellhop from the Tipton Hotel, comes on the boat to get married, but his mother doesn't approve of his fiancé. So, while Zack and Cody have a bachelor party for Esteban, Bailey and London try to find something that his mom can do after Esteban moves out. Esteban also asks Mr Moseby to marry him and Francesca. During the episode, Cody and Bailey talk about how they should get married and decide that when the time comes they're eloping. Esteban's mother accepts Francesca at the end and even plays the guitar at the wedding. Everyone is happy in the end.
Trivia
- This is the last appearance of Esteban. Also, it's revealed that while Esteban still works at the Tipton Hotel back in Boston, he's not actually a bellhop--in this episode, Esteban claims that he was now the assistant night manager at the hotel.
- Francesca has the same first name as London’s British friend from the episode Health and Fitness when she was in a charity fashion show at The Tipton with her and Maddie.
- The title of the episode is a reference to the 1991 movie Father of the Bride.
