"Nurse Zack" is the 29th episode of the second season of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. When Carey and Cody take ill, Zack is forced to abandon his recreational activities and take care of them, no matter how unreasonable their requests. Mr. Moseby announces an Employee of the Month contest, but when the staff take it too far, he has to take action.
Story[]
Zack wants to try out the new skatepark but when Carey falls ill, she convinces him to stay at home to look after her. Instead of helping her, Zack sits and watches tv while Cody looks after Carey. Cody then gets a doctor's visit who turns out to be an incredibly childish doctor and Cody knows more than he does. Cody diagnoses Carey with flu and suggests bed rest. Cody has marked Carey's cup with a skull and cross bones to stop anyone else from drinking it but he accidentally drinks from it which causes him to fall ill too. Zack still wants to go the skatepark but now he has to look after both Cody and Carey, such as buying them tissues and icepacks. However, Zack isn't the best carer as he accidentally presses the button on the couch, buys maple syrup instead of cough syrup and eats all of Cody's frozen fruit bars.
Zack gets increasingly annoyed as he deals with Carey's and Cody's requests, running back and forth to help them. A week passes and after Cody complains about the eggs he cooked, Zack declares that he wants his life back. Zack feels like they weren't being appreciative which Carey says she understands. Zack asks how and then Carey explains how she always does the cooking and the cleaning and even though its a tough job, she still loves it. Zack apologizes for not noticing and promises that "When you're (Carey) doing all this stuff and I'm doing nothing, I'm going to really appreciate it." It's not quite the answer Carey is hoping for but she applauds him for doing a good job and lets him finally go the skatepark. Cody offers to make his mom some eggs and Carey asks for pancakes to use up all the syrup Zack brought.
Subplot[]
Mr. Moseby is going to give out an employ of the month to one of the Tipton employees, and the winner will get a vacation to wherever they wanted. Everyone started working harder for the award. However, they all started sabotaging each other and neglecting their jobs. In the end, Moseby awards Carey for employee of the month to which the other employees are annoyed since she hasn't even in work due to being sick. Moseby explains that she is the only one who hasn't annoyed him or any of the guests so she wins. Carey, still ill, chooses a box of tissues as her prize.
The TIpton employees are upset before London comes in fresh from her trip to Paris. Maddie tells her not to rub it in because that is where she wanted to go before London says she and the other employees could have. She reveals this is what she needed help with she needed someone to keep her company while she did shopping in Paris but the employees they were all too busy working to pay her any mind. The revelation shocks the employees on how they could’ve gotten an easy trip if they would’ve just paid attention. London then announces they might be too busy working to go to Rio with her too but this cause the employees to all chase the scared London in the elevator, where as the doors close, Arwin warns them that the elevator can't hold that much weight, and they all go plummeting to the ground.

- Patrick: Maddie, I know it was you that let 30 cats loose in my restaurant on Sushi Sunday!
- Maddie: Oh, face it, candy crusher! You can't beat me and my roving cart!
Trivia[]
- At the end of the episode, when Mr. Moseby is holding up his clipboard, "I ♥ Phill!" is written across the bottom which is the actor who plays Mr. Moseby's real name (Phill Lewis).
- Chef Paolo was the only staff member who didn't sabotage employee of the month, and it is unknown why Mr. Moseby didn't pick him.
- Despite being obsessed with Carey, this is the first and only time Arwin wasn't happy for Carey for winning employee of the month.
- The subplot where the employees sabotage each other to win “employee of the month” is similar to SpongeBob and Squidward sabotaging each other to win "employee of the month" on SpongeBob SquarePants "Employee Of The Month."
- This is the episode starting from which London Tipton appeared in every single episode for the remainder of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and for the remainder of the The Suite Life franchise.
